October 10, 2024 | Tokyo, Japan | Team RJHH
On October 10, 2024, MC TYSON released his sixth album, THE MESSAGE 6, a significant work. This album arrives just before his highly anticipated and thrilling concert at Nippon Budokan, scheduled for January 30, 2025, a large-scale solo performance titled KING KONG in Nippon Budokan.
THE MESSAGE 6 stands out not only for its unique and intriguing collaborations but also for the raw energy it exudes. Among the standout tracks is “Shut The Fk Up” an explosive song that brings together prominent figures in Japanese rap, such as the legendary AK-69, Osaka’s young prodigy YOU THUG, as well as Benjazzy and Jin Dogg. This track perfectly embodies the essence of the album, blending styles and generations in a hard-hitting flow.
MC TYSON also teamed up with Koshy, a renowned producer known for his successful collaborations, such as with Yuki Chiba on “Team Friend” and Megan Thee Stallion on “Mamushi feat.” Together, they deliver “Friday Night Town,” a powerful track that brings together IO and Daichi Yamamoto, showcasing MC TYSON’s desire to innovate while paying homage to the roots of Japanese rap.
The album contains a total of 10 tracks, each carrying a strong and inspiring message. Among them, “5 STAR HOTEL” stands out as an ode to luxurious nightlife, where the artists trade flows in a lyrical relay. Another remarkable song is “Still I Love You So”, a poignant remake of AK-69’s 2009 classic “And I Love You So,” produced by T’Z BEATZ, a long-time collaborator of MC TYSON. This track resonates particularly strongly, with a music video already released, where MC TYSON raps with fierce intensity, invoking his nickname KING KONG, a central theme of his upcoming Budokan performance.
This album is more than just a collection of songs. It expresses MC TYSON’s vision and the message he wants to convey at this pivotal moment in his career. THE MESSAGE 6 is a tribute to his journey and a preview of what his audience can expect from him on stage at Nippon Budokan. MC TYSON’s performance at the Budokan, one of Japan’s most prestigious venues, is already shaping into a historic moment. It will be an opportunity for him to showcase the full extent of his talent and solidify his status in the Japanese music scene, affirming that MC TYSON is ready to enter the legend of Japanese hip-hop with the strength of KING KONG.
