Rapper YUKSTA-ILL, based in Suzuka, Mie Prefecture, and a central figure of the WAVELENGTH PLANT label and RC SLUM collective, has just unveiled the music video for “82PLACE“, the title track from his latest eponymous album, released after a two-and-a-half-year hiatus. This track marks the return of collective 1982S, a formation bringing together alongside YUKSTA-ILL heavyweights of the Japanese underground scene: MASS-HOLE, MR.PUG, Senninsho, and ISSUGI. Since its release, “82PLACE” has generated enthusiasm among Japanese hip-hop aficionados, who see it as one of the rare new recordings from this cult collective.
