The release of the new single “Pointless 5″ feat. PUNPEE by Scha Dara Parr and STUTS is scheduled for Friday, May 17. This dynamic duo continues to captivate audiences with their unique sound and impressive collaborations.
Thirty years after the success of “Konya wa Boogie Back“, Scha Dara Parr again joined forces with Kenji Ozawa to create the hit “Boogi-Baku-Baby”. This collaboration has revived their musical chemistry and highlighted their joint live performance, attracting media attention. For his part, STUTS, known for his work as a producer and beatmaker, has enriched his discography with productions for artists such as BAD HOP and LEX & LANA. His recent work “Irodori no Uta“, co-written with Ryosuke Nagaoka and featured on NHK Minna no Uta, has also been praised for its artistic freshness.
PUNPEE guest artist in “Pointless 5”
The relationship between these artists was strengthened following their joint performance at Osaka Jono Sound last July. Their synergy culminated in December when they presented a solo concert titled “That’s the Joint” under the collective name Scha Dara Parr & STUTS, marking an important milestone in their collaborative journey. The participation of PUNPEE as a guest artist on these two new tracks promises to add an extra dimension to this project. The songs, described as evergreen compositions that blend old school, new school, Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa eras, were recorded and mixed by STUTS, with mastering done by Nicolas de Porcel, ensuring exceptional sound quality.
In anticipation of the excitement these new releases will generate, a special event titled “Schudara Parr & STUTS Presents ‘That’s the Joint’” will be held at Osaka Castle Music Hall on Sunday, June 30, followed by a performance at Zepp Shinjuku (TOKYO) on Tuesday, July 16. These concerts promise to highlight moments for both fans and new listeners, thus consolidating the position of Suchadarapa and STUTS on the contemporary music scene.
