DJ RYOW pays tribute to his rapper friend TOKONA-X again this November 22, 2022, with the track WHO ARE U ? 2022—a sad birthday corresponding to the sudden death of one of the best Japanese rappers. TOKONA-X marked the Japanese hip-hop scene with his strong character and rap style, mixing Nagoya’s dialect.
For this release, DJ RYOW welcomes the star of the new generation of Japanese rap; Yellow Bucks. At least four remix versions have been produced since the first release in 2004. An arrangement in 2009 with E qual, AKIRA, AK-69. The one in 2011 with MACCHO, RYUZO, and Masta Simon. Another was in 2015 with Anarchy, Hannya, and the fourth was released in 2018 with Benizakura and T-PABLOW from BAD HOP.
