Producer and beatmaker 法斎Beats (Housai Beats) has announced the release of his new single, “Otukare“, scheduled for May 1, 2026, under the label 法斎堂Recordings (Housaido Recordings). This track marks an exceptional collaboration with artists 武 (Takeshi) and Little-K.
The Origin of a Backstage Encounter
The project began when 武 (Takeshi) and Little-K performed together at a music festival. Having already known each other, the two artists shared the same stage that day. It was in the intimacy of the dressing room that Takeshi played a demo from Housai Beats for Little-K, setting the stage for this collaborative work. While this release reunites Housai Beats and Takeshi for their first collaboration in approximately two years (the last being in 2024), it marks their first-ever collaboration with Little-K. The title “Otukare” refers to a common Japanese expression used to thank someone for their hard work or effort. The lyrics sincerely capture the journey of a music lover’s day, from the morning excitement of heading to a concert to the sense of fulfillment after the show.
Multi-Talented Artists
The production, recording, mixing, and mastering were all handled by Housai Beats at his own facility, Housai Studio. Based in Nara, the producer has gained international recognition, including participation in a joint UNESCO-Nara International Film Festival project and collaborations with artists from Colombia and Kenya. The single also features a strong visual identity thanks to 武 (Takeshi), who created the cover artwork. A versatile artist from Nara, Takeshi is a painter, singer, and farmer. He is joined by Little-K, a reggae singer based in Shiga. Known for his warm voice and flexible melodies since beginning his career in 2012, Little-K’s style is rooted in the temperature of Roots Reggae while remaining genre-fluid.
