MuKuRo, LazyWii, and Kojoe Unite for the "NICETY" EP

The EP “NICETY” was released on August 26. It is the result of an exceptional collaboration between three major figures in the Japanese hip-hop scene: MuKuRo, LazyWii, and Kojoe. This project, backed by the J.Studio label, continues the innovative artistic vision that has established the studio’s reputation.

Since its inception, J.Studio, led by Kojoe, has become a key player in the Japanese music industry, supporting artists such as MONJU in Tokyo and Tha Jointz in Osaka. The label has also produced albums for emerging talents like BUPPON from Yamaguchi and beatmaker BLOOKY JEEKY from Fukui. J.Studio, known for its ability to diversify and expand across the country, is further solidifying its presence with this new production from its Okinawa-based branch, J.Studio 098. The “NICETY” EP brings together artists with rich and diverse backgrounds. MuKuRo meets with LazyWii, a bilingual rapper from Chatan Town, Okinawa. LazyWii, also a member of the group Make Sum, has distinguished himself through his eclectic style and DJ performances across Japan.

The EP also features several renowned guests, including DJ NAPPY BWOY, POM, The Priceless, and, of course, Kojoe. Joining this prestigious lineup are JASS, a member of Tha Jointz, and BUPPON. Established talents such as BudaMunk, NARISK, Chouji, FReECOol, 1Co.INR and BLOOKY JEEKY handle the EP’s musical production. “NICETY” consists of eight tracks that captivate with their diversity and depth. Among them, the single “Nicety,” produced by BudaMunk and released last December, sets the tone with its impactful sounds. “Koo Nel Yal Suu“, with its dope and groovy synthetic bass, and “DON’T YOU KNOW“, featuring JASS from Tha Jointz alongside BUPPON, showcase the EP’s musical richness. The track “HOME“, a true ode to their hometowns and families, stands out for its emotional intensity.

In addition to the EP’s release, the music video for the song “HBYS,” produced by NARISK and directed by Macoty, was unveiled today. This striking visual perfectly complements the EP’s energy and atmosphere, offering fans a complete and immersive experience.
