CHAN4, a rapper from Kumatori in Osaka Prefecture, is releasing his second album Hanabi. The album will be available on digital streaming platforms on Friday, September 5, 2025. The title Hanabi refers to the fleeting beauty of Japanese fireworks. The album includes 11 tracks in total, each capturing the momentary brilliance and fragile beauty of fireworks. This metaphor runs throughout CHAN4’s new project.

Collaborations between Osaka and Okinawa

CHAN4 created this album across two regions of Japan, working with artists from both Okinawa and Kansai. The featured artists include KK from Okinawa, as well as STEEL, yup, NeVGrN, and SOMAOTA from Kansai. Eight talented beatmakers contributed to the production, hailing from both Japan and abroad, crafting instrumentals to complement CHAN4’s expressive rap. The cover art was designed by cpnnn. A music video also accompanies the release. The video for the track Sit Down Please will be released the same day at 7:00 PM. Directed and shot by Heuristic from the creative crew Enn, the project combines both roles of director and cinematographer.
