The plot follows Shokichi Izanagi, a police officer with remarkable rapping skills, tasked with infiltrating a group of rappers as part of an investigation into illegal drug trafficking. Based on a true story shared by rapper 漢 a.k.a. GAMI, this unique project sheds light on the challenges and moral dilemmas law enforcement faces in their fight against narcotics.
In the lead role, 般若 (Hannya), one of the most influential Japanese hip-hop rappers, debuted as a leading actor. His performance as Shokichi Izanagi was lauded for its authenticity and intensity. Celebrating 20 years in the hip-hop industry in 2024, Hannya drew on his rich experience in the music world to bring this complex character to life.
