HAIIRO DE ROSSI is set to release his new album titled Identity on CD on March 11, 2026. Pre-orders are now open. The album is already available in digital format. With Identity, HAIIRO DE ROSSI presents his most structurally complete project to date. The album begins with an intimate self-reflection and gradually expands toward personal relationships, society, and real-world issues, including a direct reference to Gaza. The record stands as a personal testimony, close to a musical documentary, rooted in lived experience.

The album brings together several longtime collaborators: Pigeondust, HIMURO Yoshiteru, Manakurv, and DJ MOTORA. Together, they highlight the core of HAIIRO DE ROSSI’s rap style: subtle rhythmic sway, restrained intensity, and precise writing. The central themes of Identity are identity and contradiction. HAIIRO DE ROSSI confronts his inner conflicts head-on, without seeking easy answers. His lyrics are both sharp and compassionate. The lead track, “Kill No One,” clearly states his position through a phrase repeated like a mantra: “Do not erase. Do not deny. Kill no one.” This song defines the artist’s current perspective on the world. The closing track, “One More Voice,” is a spoken-word piece addressed to a voice that deeply resonated with him. Rather than offering full closure, the album intentionally leaves space, pointing toward what comes next.

Born in Kanagawa, Japan, in 1986, HAIIRO DE ROSSI made his debut in 2008 with the album True Blues. After releasing several singles, EPs, and vinyl records, he became independent following his second album SAME SAME BUT DIFFERENT, founding his own label forte. His third album forte, released under that label, became a breakout success. Masayoshi Fujita, CEO of CyberAgent, later cited HAIIRO DE ROSSI’s lyrics in his own book, signaling the artist’s influence beyond the music industry.

Known for his socially conscious lyrics and actions, HAIIRO DE ROSSI has been featured extensively in media such as ele-king, and is often discussed not only for his words but for his stance as a conscious MC. After a temporary hiatus, he returned and has continued releasing work consistently. Since his seventh album, the self-titled HAIIRO DE ROSSI, and with continued collaboration with longtime partner Pigeondust alongside other skilled artists, he has further refined his style—rooted in jazz and conscious rap. Today, HAIIRO DE ROSSI stands as one of the defining figures of Jazz Hip Hop and Conscious Rap in Japan.
