Producer illr presents his new EP “THE SOURCE Remix”, a collection that transcends the traditional concept of remixing. This project brings together leading artists from the Japanese hip-hop scene for a bold reinterpretation of their original productions.
An EP That Tells a Thousand Stories: “THE SOURCE Remix” is a compilation of remixes where each track offers a new vision of illr’s beats through the eyes of guest artists. The sounds capture the essence of the streets, the power of words, and the silence between rhythms. Together, they form a mosaic of authentic urban stories.
- STANCE remix: The Energy of the Streets: The opening track features JAKE and Kecchi in an explosive collaboration. JAKE’s voice echoes like a call bouncing off concrete walls, while Kecchi’s verses add burning intensity to the mix. From the very first seconds, the rhythm grabs the listener and never lets go.
- #滑走steelo remix: When Skateboarding Meets Hip-Hop: RHIME手裏剣, also known as Shreaky D, brings his unique vision to this track. The beat evokes the fluid motion of a skater gliding under Kanagawa’s neon lights. His sharp flow cuts through the nighttime air with precision. The song makes a powerful statement: skateboarding and hip-hop are legitimate art forms — not acts of rebellion.
