Charlu continues her rise with the release of a new single and the announcement of her upcoming album. Originally from Shinagawa in Tokyo, rapper Charlu unveiled her new single “CAP” this Wednesday, October 29th. This release comes with a significant announcement: her new album “5FEET” is set to drop on November 5th. The complete tracklist and album artwork have been revealed. Since she participated in the show “Rap Star Tanjō 2024“, Charlu has established herself on the national scene thanks to her impeccable technical skills and energetic live performances. Her journey has been marked by significant moments: an appearance at the hip-hop festival POP YOURS and a historic appearance on the American show “On The Radar Radio“, for which she is the first Japanese artist to be invited.

“5FEET”, an introspective album

The title “5FEET” directly references the rapper’s height and symbolizes her personal quest in a constantly evolving environment. This 12-track album showcases notable artistic progression, with Charlu exploring different sounds and refining her style. The album features only one collaboration: Tepa Roucci, whom she met during Rap Star Tanjō. On the production side, Charlu has surrounded herself with the elite of Japanese hip-hop, with JIGG, KM, and OMSB handling the instrumentals.
