Iconic Record Shop Hosts Pop-Up, DJ Event, and After-Party Across Three Venues

Manhattan Records®, the legendary record shop in Shibuya, celebrates its 45th anniversary with a special event on November 28, 2025 (Friday) at TRUNK(LOUNGE). The celebration spans three iconic Shibuya venues, featuring a pop-up shop, DJ performances, and an after-party.

Pop-Up Shop and DJ Event at TRUNK(HOTEL) CAT STREET

A one-day-only Manhattan Records® pop-up shop opens in the TRUNK(LOUNGE) main space. The shop sells 45th anniversary apparel and merchandise, including exclusive collaboration items with DJ KOCO aka SHIMOKITA and collaboration boots with atmos. Customers who purchase items at the pop-up receive complimentary drink tickets on a first-come basis. A special novelty campaign runs in coordination with the Shibuya store. Customers who spend over 10,000 yen (excluding tax) at either location receive a novelty box in the shape of a pizza box. Each venue offers a different design with only 50 boxes available per location.

The lounge space opens at 5:00 PM for DJ performances. DJ KOCO, aka SHIMOKITA, performs alongside DJ SOULSCAPE from Korea, who maintains close ties with Manhattan Records Seoul. Grooveman Spot and Lil Summer present a live performance with advance sales of their limited analog record “KEEP LOOKING / UPGRADING! (7INCH).” Other performers include ZEN-LA-ROCK, TOKIO (CarService), DJ Light (8BallTown), and PoLoGod. (Threepee Boys/MOUSOU PAGER), All artists are closely connected with Manhattan Records.

Anniversary Events at Shibuya Store

The Shibuya Udagawa-cho flagship store simultaneously releases 45th anniversary apparel and merchandise. The atmos collaboration boots are also available at this location. Manhattan Records Tokyo and Seoul staff members provide DJ performances throughout the day.

After-Party at MUSIC BAR BOUNCE

The celebration continues at MUSIC BAR BOUNCE in Shibuya Dogenzaka: Manhattan Records, BOUNCE, and Balansa, a popular brand from Busan, Korea, co-host this after-party. Performers include grooveman Spot, Lil Summer (DJ), DaBook, Mita Inoue, and Reiji Okamoto (OKAMOTO’S). Manhattan Records Shibuya sends MarT and Kaleido (SOUND’S DELI), while the Manhattan Records Seoul team (MAKE-1 / KYPER / HYERANG) joins for a one-night-only session connecting Tokyo, Seoul, and Busan.
