The Sendai-based hip-hop group GAGLE marks their return with the highly anticipated release of their new album “Plan G.“, set for October 16. This new opus comes six and a half years after their last album, offering fans a fresh musical experience. The first single from this album, “Kabe l Kabe,” is available today.
A Musical Exploration Condensed in “Plan G.”
“Plan G” is a compilation of the group’s experiences and musical explorations. The members of GAGLE have used this long hiatus to refine their sound and address contemporary themes. The result is a mature and thoughtful work, blending the raw energy of hip-hop with complex compositions.
The single “Kabe l Kabe” focuses on the theme of the visible and invisible walls that everyone faces in the modern world. GAGLE approaches these obstacles positively, choosing to overcome rather than avoid them. Each member contributes to this dynamic with their talents, from infectious rhythms to incisive raps and captivating scratches. The song reflects perseverance and creativity in the face of challenges.
The album’s mixing was entrusted to Taiji Okuda, a close friend of the group, ensuring a sound quality that perfectly aligns with GAGLE’s artistic vision. The mastering was done by Kelly Hibbert, a renowned professional who has worked with artists such as J Dilla, Madlib, Flying Lotus, and Hiatus Kaiyote. These collaborations reflect the meticulous care given to every detail of “Plan G.“.
On the artistic side, Naotoshi Takabayashi (428graffi) was responsible for the album’s design. His work captures the essence of the group and visually accompanies the auditory experience of “Plan G.” adding a graphic dimension that enriches the album.
A Live Event to Celebrate the Release of “Plan G.”
To mark the release of this new album, GAGLE has announced an exceptional live event, “THE LIVE #3“. It will take place on October 18 at the outdoor concert hall of Kotodai Park in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture. A unique feature of this event is its free entry, with a tipping system to foster a spirit of sharing and gratitude toward the fans. This concert promises to be a unique moment where the group can share the energy of “Plan G” live with their audience.
