Awich Performs "Frontiers", Shangri-La Frontier Season 2

Awich’s new song, “Frontiers“, has been chosen as the opening theme for the second season of the television anime Shangri-La Frontier. This highly popular anime, set in the world of a full VR game and supported by stunning animation, immerses viewers in a captivating adventure. Written specifically for this series, “Frontiers” reflects Awich’s journey, marked by the challenges she has overcome to become an acclaimed artist known as the “Queen”. The song mirrors the journey of the anime’s protagonist, who embarks on a bold quest to conquer a game no one has ever completed. “Frontiers” will be released on January 5th, marking Awich’s first contribution to creating an anime opening theme.

Last year, Awich captivated audiences with a sold-out concert at Yokohama’s K Arena. This year, she shone on international stages, including Coachella in Los Angeles and the Head In The Clouds Festival in New York, organized by 88rising. Additionally, she left her mark on the 2024 FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL as the sub-headliner of the legendary GREEN STAGE. During her final live performance of the year at COUNTDOWN JAPAN 24/25, she performed “Frontiers” for the first time as a “new song.” The recently released promotional clip for the second season of Shangri-La Frontier offers a preview of the song and Awich’s commentary on the project.
