About Santaworldview
Santaworldview, also known as SANTA, is a Japanese rapper from Yokohama. Born in 1998, he began his music career after meeting Leon Fanourakis in 2015, who inspired him to pursue rap. He quickly started actively participating in rap battles, gaining recognition for his unique style and ability to improvise on stage.
In 2016, he released his first EP titled “Seven Subjects” on SoundCloud, which was well-received by the Japanese rap community. In 2019, Santaworldview participated in season 2 of the audition show “Rap Star Birth” to discover emerging Japanese rap talents. He reached the final stage of the show, attracting attention for his innovative rap style and confident attitude. With the release of his second EP, “WORLDVIEW” Santaworldview began making his mark in the Japanese music industry.

In March of the same year, he released the single “Pink Juice” recorded during a live performance, which became a club hit and contributed to increasing his popularity. In June 2019, he collaborated with Leon Fanourakis on the song “BOUNCE” which became another success for the young rapper. That same year, he was also chosen as a model for the summer collection of streetwear brand XLARGE and was featured in the fashion magazine NYLON JAPAN as a fashion icon. In January 2020, Santaworldview released his first album titled “Sinterklass” showcasing his versatility by combining elements of trap and boom-bap.
The album was praised for its smooth flow and unique lyrical vision, and he was invited to collaborate with many beatmakers and rappers throughout the year. In October of the same year, the young rapper released his fourth EP, “IKIGAI” and the single “Hannibal Lecter.” In June 2021, he released his fifth EP, “IKIGAI 2“, which shows his willingness to diversify musically by using auto-tune and incorporating more melodic music elements into his songs. In August 2021, he released a collaboration EP titled “IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD” with beatmaker and DJ BULLSET from the hip-hop label Hibrid Entertainment in Osaka.
At the end of 2021, he left his former label to sign with the hip-hop label 1% and released the single “REQUIEM” on Christmas. On March 10, 2022, he released his second album, “I’M THE ONE” again showcasing his ability to renew and diversify as an artist. Santaworldview quickly became a prominent figure in the Japanese rap scene thanks to his unique style, confident attitude, and willingness to diversify.
